When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from your Google account.

Audio & Recordings

When you record audio or import audio files, we process this data to provide transcription and summarization. Audio files are transmitted to our servers for processing and stored securely.

Usage Data

We collect basic usage data such as the number of recordings, timestamps, and device type to improve our Service and enforce usage limits.

Payment Information

Subscription payments are processed through Apple App Store, Google Play, or third-party payment providers. We do not store your credit card numbers or bank account details.

To provide, maintain, and improve the Service
To transcribe and summarize your audio recordings using AI
To manage your account and subscriptions
To send important service notifications (e.g., password resets, welcome emails)
To enforce our Terms of Service and usage limits

We use the following third-party services to operate SpeakPen:

AssemblyAI — for audio transcription and summarization
Cloudflare R2 — for secure audio file storage
Resend — for transactional emails
Google Sign-In — for authentication (if you choose to sign in with Google)

These services process data on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy policies.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure servers with encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data and recordings for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will mark it for deletion and remove your data within 30 days. You can delete individual recordings at any time.

Delete your account entirely
Request a copy of your data by contacting us

7. Children's Privacy

SpeakPen is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and language preferences. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.
